His professional background is in Artificial Intelligence, data analysis, management and quality assurance. has been active in the political and civic movement in Syria since 2002, he has participated in several civic and political structures in the beginning of the uprising, and affiliated with several Track2 and 1.5 around Syria, including the Geneva process on Syria. Hozan oversees the governance and dialogue projects within IMPACT Research, and is invited as an expert on Northeast Syria, countering violent extremism and non-state actors in the middle east.
